Selected subject files, 1934-1968.

Record group 75-98 consists of selected subject files of the Parks Division of the Michigan Department of Conservation for the years 1934-1968. One half of the record group is comprised of a sampling of concession leases in state parks and recreation areas. The papers show the items sold, wholesale price, retail price, percent markup, rates, the Division's commission, equipment inventories, inspection ratings, and the like. Also includes monthly reports of the concessionaries for 1968. The remainder of the record group is comprised of: summary of contributions of the W.P.A. to the parks system; a map showing locations of C.C.C. camps in Michigan; a memorandum regarding the allocation of C.C.C. camps to states in the Midwest; tabulation of improvements made to selected state parks by the C.C.C.; records dealing with lifeguard training; material on Fort Michilimackinac and Mackinac Island State Park; and other related materials.
